The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) is a nonprofit, non-governmental, public service, membership society. The mission of A2LA is to provide comprehensive services in laboratory accreditation and laboratory-related training.
Cal-Cert, originally the first Calibration Laboratory accredited by the International Accrediting Service (IAS) in 2002, transferred its accreditation to A2LA in 2018, the leading accrediting body in the U.S. These international accreditations, recognized worldwide under the Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), allow Cal-Cert to meet the standards of IAS, NVLAP, AASHTO, NADCAP, and other globally recognized requirements.
